So, I haven't been doing Weddings for very long, as you can probably tell from my limited Wedding portfolio, but luckily for me I've been booked for a couple more Weddings this year and can't wait to get to building up my image collection quite soon. I have learned in the short space of time that there are people you should get to know at each Wedding as a Photographer! The other Vendors.....

Here is a short list of a few great Vendors I have met and am happy to share their details with you all, especially Brides who are still in the beginning stages of planning the most important day of their lives.

THE WEDDING LOUNGE
They have beautiful Wedding Gowns to hire as well as all the accessories that you would need, including shoes, veils, tiara's etc. Nadine is wonderful and very helpful.

In the very same location is another Lady by the name of Caroline, she has an eveningwear hire company, supplying gorgeous evening dresses for Bridesmaids, Flower Girls or even just a night out.

I also had the oportunity to meet Martin, who does lighting design for Weddings and other events, he creates a beautiful atmosphere for the Bride and Groom on there special day

It rained and rained ........and rained! L'Ermitage Chateau in Franschhoek was the stunning location for Nicky & Gary's Wedding, beautiful surroundings and gorgeous decor, which was lucky for us as almost all the photographs had to be taken indoors. While the men toasted the Groom in the Bar the Girls' were busy bustling upstairs doing hair and make-up and helping a very nervous Bride get dressed. Everyone looked so beautiful in their lilac and white dresses with smiles all round.

The sun did manage to peek through the heavy clouds for a few minutes for us to grab a few couple photos outside, which made my day!

Congratulations to a great couple! I hope you enjoy the photographs to follow.

Wow! What a lovely couple... It was so very hot on Saturday morning, and there was not a cloud in the sky, perfect weather for a morning couple/family shoot.
We did the shoot at the Helderberg Nature Reserve in amongst the bushes and trees, where there were some lovely little spots to capture great shots. Nicky & Gary both have great kids and it was so nice to be able to involve them in the shoot and get some fun shots as a family. I can't wait for their Wedding to arrive!

Here's some images from a shoot I did a few months ago... of the beautiful Ricky and Roxi.

I met such a lovely lady yesterday! Sara and I roared off to Gordon's Bay for a morning shoot, not really knowing too much about what we were to expect. We were greeted with a much needed coffee and a huge smile. I was so happy to discover that Ivy, our petite yet full of life "model" for the morning was a musician. There were guitars dotted around the room, microphones and of course a piano. YAY!!!

I have the most gorgeous children! My little Girl is so precious and such a huge help when it comes to her naughty brother. No matter how many times he pulls her hair or plays with her toys and messes up her room, she never complains.

On the weekend I tried to hide behind a bush to capture one of those moments where she is helping her brother without being asked, but darn, they spotted me! Never the less you can see how much they love each other.

We're a crazy bunch! I want to introduce you to my collegues/buddies.
Sara is responsible for all the lovely Make-up you see on most of the Models you see in the images, she's bubbly and full of life!
Cliffy, he's our lighting technician and a great photographer to boot.
Our Model of the day was Jesse who is always up for anything.
and then there's me... the tall one who sticks out like a sore thumb and waves her arms around... lol
And after all is said and done and we've done our happy dance.... champagne :) :)
